Our vision is to bring Launceston a refined all-day patisserie and late night dessert restaurant where sweets reign supreme, caramel drizzles off the plate and eyes light up at the exquisite combination of flavours on the plate.
At Charlie’s we offer one course: dessert. A haven for sweets lovers, we also specialise in ready-made French pastries, custom cakes and an imaginative range of cupcakes, cookies, cookie sandwiches, macarons, mini cheesecakes, slices, tarts, muffins and more.
Charlie’s opened in September 2016 at 74 Charles Street, Launceston. A small team operation, we aim to bring new and imaginative flavours to the local market whilst focusing on providing great service, great flavours, and a great environment to stop and stay a while.
We source local ingredients wherever possible and aim to support our community through a variety of programs. Our milk, cream and butter is sourced from local dairy Ashgrove. Our coffee beans are a local blend from Ritual Coffee and our premium loose leaf organic teas are supplied by local girls Storm & India. Our ice creams, gelatos and sorbets are supplied by Tasmanian owned and operated Van Diemen’s Creamery. All of our fruit is sourced locally by Feelin’ Fruity. Premium products such as our chocolate is shipped in from Belgium to provide a premium hot chocolate mix, handmade on the stove by our kitchen wizards.
We are proud to make all of our macarons, cupcakes, cakes, cookies, vegan cheesecakes and entire menu from our little kitchen in the centre of Launceston.
